So don't worry you need to offer any information about your HIV status to your employer or anyone in Taiwan. If anyone ask you to do that, you have the right to refuse their request.

Many of PLWHA foreigners will worry about how to access affordable HIV treatment in Taiwan.

Here are some simple information for your reference.

Fist, if your doctor allows, you can bring 3-12 months’ medication to Taiwan.

But remember to bring your prescription.

If customs ask you why you bring that medicine, you can show them.

Second, will your doctor help you to mail your medicine to Taiwan?

Or you will go back regularly to take your medication?

If your doctor or someone else can help you to ship medicine in the future,

you still need to have Taiwan FDA application to allow your medicine can ship in Taiwan. I

Third, if you will work in Taiwan more than two years,

and there is no one who can help you to ship medicine from your hometown,

or you don't want to go back your hometown so frequently.

Maybe we can get HIV diagnose in Taiwan and have a treatment record.

And after two years, you can use our national health insurance(NHI) to have cheap HIV treatment in Taiwan.

If you need that, and don’t know how to discuss with the doctor, our worker can accompany you to go to hospital.

At last, if no one can help you to ship medicine and you also can't go back to take your treatment, and because of the first two years you can't use NHI to have cheap treatment.
